Title

Build a Climate Clock

Who can participate?

Description

Participants are required to build a climate clock hardware device and software to run on it. The climate clock tracks global CO₂ emissions, temperature data, % of renewables and uses it to estimate the period until the 1.5 degree Celsius threshold for global

What participants need to submit?

Participants must submit a 90 second working video

How will the evaluation be done?

The evaluation will be carried out by the research scientists who are working at grassroots level for climate action.

What participants will get?

There are a total of 5 awards. Top 5 winners will receive Rs 25,000 each.

Guidelines

Video length should not exceed 90 seconds, and file size should not exceed 5 MB

Title

What industries should do to mitigate climate change?

Who can participate?

Anyone can participate.

Description

Climate is not changing, it has changed. It is already having an impact on the lives of millions of people across the world. Climate change has been identified as one of the biggest global threats. Every individual is using energy and material and hence contributing to climate change. Industries consume a significant amount of energy and resources and contribute to climate change. You are required to present your idea in writing about what action needs to be taken by the industries to mitigate climate change. Your solution can be just a workable idea, a suggestion for technology, an alternative way of doing things or any other innovative idea that can help industries to reduce its impact on climate change.

What participants need to submit?

Participants must submit their write-ups via a web form.

How will the evaluation be done?

The evaluation will be carried out by the research scientists who are working at grassroots level for climate action.

What participants will get?

  • There are total of 5 awards. Top 5 winners will receive Rs 11,000 each.

  • Certificates of rewards for winners.

  • The best idea is selected to speak at the conference, and two other ideas are selected to present a poster at the conference.

  • In addition, the Jury may select some of the best ideas for a "Certificate of Appreciation".

Guidelines

  • The structure of the content should be: Title, Address the problem (Maximum 300 words), Provide a solution to the problem you're addressing (Maximum 300 words), Elaborate on the solution to the problem you mentioned above (Maximum 500 words), Conclusion

  • Font size and writing style should be 12 and Times New Roman, respectively.

  • Lines should be 1.5 inches apart.

  • Participants may submit diagrams, figures, and tabular data with elaborative descriptions.

  • Participants must submit their ideas in English only.

  • The entries shall be submitted in word or PDF format. (No Scan)

You are required to present your idea in writing about what action needs to be taken by the academic institutions to mitigate climate change.   • The applicant must be a student of Class of 1 to 10 standard: age not more than 18 years old.

National Level Essay Writing Competition The competition encourages participants to think, write persuasively, and present well-connected ideas for Environment Restoration.

Participants must submit their write-ups via a web form.

How will the evaluation be done?

The evaluation of the essay will be done by Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki with the leaders from industry, government, religion, research and academia.

What participants will get?

  • There are a total of 5 awards. Top 5 winners will receive Rs 11,000 each.

  • Certificates of rewards for winners.

  • The best entries will have the opportunity to read their essays at the conference.

How climate change is affecting people, what actions individuals, corporations, governments, and institutions should take, and your thoughts on climate change.

How will the evaluation be done?

The evaluation of the song will be done by the Energy Swaraj Foundation Team and leaders from industry, government, religion, research and academia.

What participants will get?

  • There are a total of 3 awards. Top 3 winners will receive Rs 25,000 each.

  • The best team or individual will perform at the conference.

Drama is an effective way to raise awareness and generate meaningful discussion about climate changes and its solutions which aims to bring positive changes in people's attitude and behavior. It ignites curiosity and excitement and can easily draw a crowd of audience and capture their attention. Write a powerful and impactful drama script to bring awareness about climate change to masses and encourage them to take immediate actions.

Paint a T-shirt with message related to climate change and its solutions

Anyone from any discipline is welcome to participate.

Description

Climate is not changing, it has changed. It is already affecting the lives of millions of people across the world. Climate change has been identified as one of the biggest global threats. Every individual is using energy and material and hence contributing to climate change. The theme of the t-shirt painting is "Climate Change and Its solution". How climate change is adversely affecting humans, human life and planet and what actions need to be taken? This is your best chance to showcase your skills on a global scale. Paint something jaw dropping to generate curiosity among masses on climate change so that they think about taking some action immediately.

What participants need to submit?

Participants need to send their hand-painted t shirts through post to the address below. Energy Swaraj Foundation, Room No. 6, Second Floor, New Hetal Apartment CHS, Near Deepali Travels, N S Road, Mulund West, Mumbai 400080.

How will the evaluation be done?

Submissions will be judged on the basis of creativity, concept, visual impact, color scheme and effective conveying of the theme.

What participants will get?

  • There are a total of 5 awards. Top 5 winners will receive Rs 11,000 each.

  • Certificates of rewards for winners.

  • The selected t-shirts will be displayed at the conference and worn by Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki during his Energy Swaraj Yatra.

Guidelines

  • Only plain white t-shirts in sizes "L" or "40" are allowed.

  • Participants must use only fabric or acrylic paints. It is strictly forbidden to use any other materials or ready-made stickers.

  • Hand painting only.
